Who we are

What we collect

• Identity and contact — name, date of birth, address, phone numbers, email, Social Security number, driver licence number and state, and immigration status where applicable.
• Case information — defendant name, charges, bond amount, jail, court and case number.
• Financial information — premium and payments, collateral, and where a payment plan is used, the balance owed. We record only the last four digits of any card.
• Documents you upload — photos of identification, booking screenshots, vehicle registration or insurance, and any collateral documents.
• Technical information — IP address and approximate city-level location derived from it, device type, and the date and time you submitted and signed.
• Consent records — whether you agreed to text messages, the exact wording shown to you, and when.

Why we collect it

To decide whether to write a bail bond, to write and post it, to comply with Florida law governing bail bond agents, to collect premium owed, to locate a defendant who fails to appear, and to keep the records Florida requires us to keep.

Location

We derive an approximate city and postal code from your IP address when you submit an application. This is evidence of the general place a document was signed. It is not GPS, it is not a street address, and we do not track you afterwards. We do not ask your browser for precise location.

Who we share it with

• The surety — Sun Surety Insurance Company, which underwrites the bond.
• Courts, jails and law enforcement, as required to post, maintain or discharge a bond.
• Service providers who work for us — our e-signature provider, email provider, payment processor and hosting provider. They may use your information only to perform that service.
• Skip tracing, collection or legal counsel, if a bond is forfeited or premium goes unpaid.
• Regulators, including the Florida Department of Financial Services.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.

Payment cards

Card payments are processed by our payment processor. We deliberately record only the last four digits of a card on our authorization form. We do not store full card numbers.

How long we keep it

Florida requires bail bond agents to retain bond records, and we keep files for the period the law requires and for as long as any obligation under the bond or a payment plan remains outstanding.

Your choices

• Text messages — reply STOP at any time. See our SMS Terms. Consent to texts is never required to obtain a bail bond.
• Access or correction — call or email us and we will tell you what we hold and correct anything inaccurate.
• Deletion — we will honour a request except where Florida law requires us to retain the record, or where an obligation under a bond is still open.

Security

Applications are submitted over an encrypted connection. Access is limited to our staff and the providers listed above. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise.

Children

Our forms are not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
